The Churches of Christ in the Philippines is holding a National Ladies Retreat annually that started year back 1976 to develop love and lasting friendship, enrich the faith, and strengthen the Christian values of the ladies in the church through the devotional teachings and lessons that are received and shared.

Year 2008 National Ladies Retreat scheduled on April 23-26, 2008 will be hosted by the Church of Christ – Bonbon Congregation located at Sunrise Christian College, P2-Bonbon, Butuan City, Philppines with a theme “BLOOM and BEAR FRUIT”. As we ladies spend four (4) days in prayer, study and discussion, the retreat will surely keep our hearts burning on our desire to find, care and save the lost, uplift our participation in fruit bearing, and reminds us at the same time to value the missed opportunities of doing this.
As James 1:22 says, “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says”.

SO COME AND JOIN US IN THE 2008 LADIES RETREAT AND BE REFUELLED!

P.S.: You will likewise enjoy the beauty of nature and feel at home as you come and see the school, our very own Sunrise Christian College, intended and designed especially to nurture the Christian education of the children of every family in the Churches of Christ.

The BARE Department has started practicing their cheer dance with the help of Brother Antonio Ladapan a BARE student before here at Sunrise Christian College. The department is giving out their fullest effort for the aim of gaining the Championship award. Last 2006-2007 intramurals, the said department had won the 3rd prize, still with the generous help of Brother Antonio. He has been helping the Department in Cheer dances and folk dances/Ethnic dances for almost 3 consecutive years without any pay. We would like to thank him for his undying support!

The school has been chosen to sing a song of prayer and the Philippine National Anthem in the upcoming mathematics competition this coming September 12, 2007 at the Father Saturnino Urios University (FSUU) Gym. Majority of the singers come from the BARE Department. The song they have chosen to sing is “PRAISE THE LORD” in the Songs of the Church song book. The choral group is led by Sir Jonah Nierves the school’s music instructor and a religious education teacher. Good Luck singers!

The Department Officers are getting ready for the upcoming Intramural. Committees have been assigned by the Governor and Vice-Governor. This is what the department agreed on:
